The Martial Arts Laboratory

Two decades of training, refereeing, and judging competitions inform Professor Don’s teaching at The Martial Arts Laboratory, a McKinney academy whose head instructor studied under the well-regarded master Carlos Machado. The lab covers Brazilian jiu-jitsu, MMA, and wrestling for kids and adults, and it has become particularly known for a children’s program that pairs technical excellence with personal development in a genuine family atmosphere. A second location serves Princeton, and the McKinney room opens as early as 6 AM on weekdays — unusual for a martial arts school — with Sunday afternoon classes as well. Across 129 Google reviews it averages a perfect 5.0, ranking it among the most-loved gyms in Collin County. Reach the academy at 972-848-9499 or themartialartslaboratory.com.
