How do I find a gym near me?
Browse our directory and filter by city, discipline, or keyword. You can also search by gym name if you know what you’re looking for.
What martial arts are listed?
We list all major martial arts and combat sports disciplines taught in Texas, including BJJ, Muay Thai, Boxing, MMA, Wrestling, Judo, Karate, Taekwondo, and more. If a gym offers regular martial arts or combat sports instruction, it qualifies for a listing.
What does “Verified” mean?
The Verified badge means we’ve confirmed the gym is a legitimate, operating business. It does not mean we endorse the gym or guarantee its quality. Always evaluate a gym independently before joining — see our Disclaimer.
Does CombatTX take a commission on memberships?
No. We are not affiliated with any listed gym and do not take commissions. You deal directly with the gym for memberships, class packages, and trial sessions.
Listing Your Gym
How do I add my gym?
Go to our List Your Gym page to get started. The free Starter plan includes a basic listing with one image.
My gym is already listed. How do I claim it?
Many Texas gyms are already in our directory. To claim your listing, contact us with your gym name, listing URL, your name and role, and proof of association with the business.
What are the paid plans?
We offer several verification and featured plans:
- Starter (Free): Basic listing with 1 image
- Verified ($49): Verified badge, up to 10 images
- Verified Team ($199): Verified status for up to 5 gyms
- Verified Elite ($349): Verified status for up to 10 gyms
- Featured ($79/30 days): Priority placement in search and category pages

How many images can I upload?
Image limits depend on your plan: 1 image on the free Starter plan, up to 10 images on all paid plans. If your listing exceeds your plan’s limit, we’ll update it to match your plan.
Verification
How long does verification take?
Verification typically takes up to 7 days. If we cannot verify your gym within 7 days, you’ll receive a full refund — see our Refund Policy.
How do you verify a gym?
We confirm the gym is a legitimate, operating business through public records, web presence, and direct contact. If the business cannot be verified (doesn’t exist, invalid contact info, no response), verification fails.
Billing & Refunds
Can I get a refund?
If we cannot verify your gym within 7 days, you get a full refund. Featured listings are non-refundable once placed. For all other situations, see our full Refund Policy.
How do I request a refund?
Email admin@combattx.com with your gym name, listing URL, plan purchased, and date of purchase. Approved refunds are processed within 5 business days.
Editing & Removing Listings
How do I update my listing information?
If you’ve claimed your listing, you can edit it through your account. If you haven’t claimed it yet, contact us with the changes.
How do I remove my listing?
You can request removal at any time by contacting us. Note that voluntary removal after verification is non-refundable — see our Refund Policy.

Safety & Reporting
Does CombatTX verify that gyms are safe?
No. The “Verified” badge means we confirmed the business exists and is operating — it does not mean the gym is safe, insured, or that its coaches are certified. See our Disclaimer for full details. Always evaluate a gym independently before training.
Does CombatTX do background checks on coaches?
No. We do not conduct background checks, verify coaching credentials, or check for criminal history on any gym staff. Parents should ask gyms directly about their background check and child safety policies. See our Disclaimer for more information.
How do I report an unsafe gym or bad experience?
Visit our Report a Gym page to file a safety complaint, report misconduct, or flag inaccurate information. If you are in immediate danger, call 911.
I am a gym owner. How do I remove my listing?
Visit our Listing Removal Requests page for the removal process. You can request removal at any time.
Can I report a gym anonymously?
Yes. You can file a report without providing your name, though providing contact information helps us investigate and follow up. See our Report a Gym page for details.
