This Privacy Policy explains how CombatTX (“we,” “us,” “our”) collects, uses, and protects information on combattx.com (the “Site”). By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

Information from Visitors

  • Search queries and pages viewed
  • IP address, browser type, and device information
  • Cookie and tracking data (see Section 5 below)

Information from Listing Submissions

  • Business name, address, phone number, website, and description
  • Images and logos submitted with a listing
  • Account email and password (for registered users)
  • Payment information is handled by our payment processor — we do not store full card details

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To operate, maintain, and improve the directory
  • To process listing submissions and paid plans
  • To verify submitted gyms
  • To respond to inquiries and support requests
  • To detect and prevent fraud, spam, and abuse
  • To send administrative notices (e.g., listing status updates)

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only as follows:

  • Public listing data: Information you submit as part of a listing (business name, address, phone, images) is displayed publicly on the Site
  • Payment processors: Stripe processes payments and receives transaction data necessary to complete your purchase
  • Analytics providers: We may use Google Analytics or similar tools to understand site usage
  • Legal compliance: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and safety

4. Data Retention

We retain account and listing information for as long as your listing is active. If you remove your listing or close your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., financial records).

5. Cookies and Tracking

The Site uses cookies to remember preferences, analyze traffic, and improve functionality. You can disable cookies in your browser settings. Some features may not function properly with cookies disabled.

6. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services that may collect data under their own policies:

  • Stripe — Payment processing
  • Google — Analytics and maps
  • WordPress / HivePress — Site platform
  • Cloudflare — Security and performance

7. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

  • Opt-out of Marketing: Unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time
  • Non-discrimination: You will not be discriminated against for exercising your privacy rights

9. State Privacy Laws

Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA)

If you are a resident of Texas, you have additional rights under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (effective July 1, 2024), including the right to:

  • Know what personal data is collected about you
  • Access and obtain a copy of your personal data
  • Correct inaccurate personal data
  • Delete your personal data
  • Opt out of the processing of your personal data for targeted advertising, the sale of personal data, or profiling
  • Appeal a decision regarding a privacy request

To submit a request under the TDPSA, contact admin@combattx.com. We will verify your identity before processing your request and respond within 45 days.

California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have rights under the CCPA and CPRA. CombatTX does not sell personal information and does not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. To exercise your California privacy rights, contact admin@combattx.com.

Other States

If your state has a consumer privacy law, we will honor applicable rights. Contact us at admin@combattx.com for more information.

10. Children’s Privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted data, contact us for prompt removal.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy at any time. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance.
