Report a Gym

CombatTX is committed to maintaining a trustworthy directory. If you have had a negative or unsafe experience with a listed gym, we want to know. This page explains how to report a gym and what happens after you do.
1. What You Can Report
You can report a listed gym for any of the following:
- Safety concerns: Inadequate supervision, unsafe training conditions, lack of first aid or emergency preparedness, or injuries caused by negligence
- Misconduct by staff or coaches: Verbal abuse, physical abuse, harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate behavior toward students (especially minors)
- Fraudulent or false information: Fake business, closed or relocated gym still listed, false credentials or belt claims, misleading pricing or contract terms
- Criminal activity: Evidence of illegal activity occurring at or through the business
- Listing accuracy: Wrong address, phone number, hours, or business name that the gym owner has not corrected
2. How to Report
To file a report, contact us at admin@combattx.com with:
- Subject line: “Gym Report: [Business Name]”
- The CombatTX listing URL
- The nature of your concern (select from the categories above)
- Specific details: dates, names of individuals involved, what happened
- Any supporting evidence (photos, screenshots, contracts, police reports)
- Your contact information (you may report anonymously, but providing contact info helps us investigate)
3. What Happens After You Report
Upon receiving a report, CombatTX will:
- Acknowledge receipt within 48 hours
- Review the report and determine appropriate action based on severity and available evidence
- Contact the listed gym for their response if the report involves disputed information or allegations of misconduct
- Take action which may include: correcting listing information, adding a warning note, temporarily hiding the listing, or permanently removing the listing
- Notify you of the outcome (if you provided contact information)
4. Emergency Situations
If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact 911 or your local emergency services before reporting to CombatTX. If you suspect child abuse or endangerment, contact the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services at 1-800-252-5400 or report online at txabusehotline.org.
CombatTX is a directory, not a regulatory or law enforcement body. We cannot investigate crimes, conduct interviews, or enforce safety standards. We can only take action on the listing within our directory.
5. What We Can and Cannot Do
What We Can Do
- Remove or hide a listing from our directory
- Correct inaccurate listing information
- Revoke Verified or Featured status
- Block a business from being re-listed
- Cooperate with law enforcement investigations
What We Cannot Do
- Investigate crimes or allegations of criminal conduct
- Conduct background checks or verify misconduct claims
- Mediate disputes between consumers and businesses
- Provide legal advice or representation
- Force a business to change its practices
6. Privacy and Retaliation
We handle reports confidentially. We will not share your identity with the reported gym without your consent, unless required by law. We will not tolerate retaliation against anyone who files a report in good faith.
Reports made in bad faith (e.g., false reports to harm a competitor) may result in the reporter being blocked from CombatTX.
7. False or Malicious Reports
CombatTX takes reports seriously, but we also recognize that not all reports are valid. If a gym owner believes a report was filed maliciously or falsely, they may submit a response to admin@combattx.com. We will consider all available evidence before taking action.
