Accessibility Statement
Last updated: June 29, 2026
CombatTX is committed to making combattx.com accessible to all users, including those with disabilities. We strive to comply with recognized accessibility standards and continually improve the user experience for everyone.
1. Our Commitment
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological disabilities.
2. Measures We Take
To ensure accessibility, we work to:
- Use semantic HTML structure with proper headings and landmarks
- Provide descriptive alt text for images where applicable
- Ensure sufficient color contrast between text and background
- Make navigation operable via keyboard
- Design forms with clear labels and instructions
- Ensure text can be resized without breaking layout
- Avoid content that flashes more than three times per second
- Regularly audit the site using automated and manual testing
3. Third-Party Content
Our directory contains listings submitted by third parties (business owners) and embedded content from third-party services (Google Maps, payment processors, analytics). While we strive to ensure accessibility across our own content, we cannot guarantee that all third-party content or embedded widgets fully comply with accessibility standards.
4. Known Limitations
Despite our efforts, some areas of the site may not yet be fully accessible:
- Some user-submitted listing images may lack descriptive alt text
- Some older blog posts may not meet current contrast or formatting standards
- Third-party embedded content (maps, payment forms) is controlled by the respective providers
We are actively working to address these limitations and improve accessibility across the site.
5. Browser and Assistive Technology Support
CombatTX is designed to be compatible with:
- Modern browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge (latest two versions)
- Screen readers: NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, and TalkBack
- Operating system-level zoom and high-contrast modes
