Lawson's Karate

After-school pickup is part of the offer at Lawson’s Karate, the Winnsboro dojo on Market Street listed among the town’s after-school martial arts programs for local kids. The school teaches Kempo, and reviews describe a welcoming, respectful environment that families consider one of the best places in the area to begin martial arts. Its perfect 5.0 Google rating, though based on just three reviews, matches the word-of-mouth reputation this small Wood County school has earned over the years. Students train with an emphasis on practical self-defense and character development rather than trophies, and the downtown location keeps it walkable from Winnsboro’s center.
