RGV Golden Gloves

Golden Gloves heritage lives at the southern tip of Texas: RGV Golden Gloves operates as Bad Boys Boxing on McAllen’s North Bicentennial Drive, carrying a franchise tradition that has opened doors for young amateur boxers since the first Golden Gloves tournament in 1923. The gym runs weekday-only hours, 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday, leaving weekends for competition and recovery. Its once-a-year RGV Golden Gloves tournament gives Rio Grande Valley athletes a genuine ring showcase, with winners feeding the Texas Golden Gloves regional bracket each March. The two Google reviews posted so far award it 5.0. Hidalgo County fighters can gear up at rgvgoldengloves.com or 956-888-9895.
