Rancho Jiujitsu

Two anchors for East Texas grapplers: Rancho Jiujitsu lists a Los Angeles area code but trains in Lufkin, where Professor Gabi – a black belt under the famed Mendes brothers – leads a family-oriented academy with a stated mission of building confidence and strengthening the community through the art of jiu-jitsu. The school’s students already appear on regional tournament brackets, evidence that competition is part of the culture even in deep East Texas. Training times cluster on Tuesday and Thursday evenings with a Saturday midday session, and the academy accepts cards for convenience. For anyone in Lufkin curious about ground grappling, self-defense, or a tighter-knit gym family, the number to know is 323-474-1189.
