Makhuwa Brazilian JiuJitsu

Division II basketball at Abilene Christian University started founder Blessed Matai’s athletic journey, a professional basketball stint carried it further, and Brazilian jiu-jitsu brought it home to Stephenville, where Makhuwa BJJ bills itself as the town’s premier grappling school. The Washington Street academy trains early risers with 5:30 AM weekday sessions and evening classes running to 8:30 PM, with family discounts for training households. A Stephenville Chamber of Commerce membership roots the school firmly in the local business community. Students award it a perfect 5.0 across 21 Google reviews. Stephenville locals and Tarleton students alike can inquire at 254-964-5072 or makhuwabjj.com.
