The Fitness Center & Martial Arts Academy

Four evenings weekly, The Fitness Center & Martial Arts Academy holds karate classes on Escobares Street in Roma, the historic Starr County town on the Rio Grande. Sessions run Monday through Thursday from 5:30 to 7 PM, a single well-attended block that keeps the school tight-knit in a community where extracurricular options for kids are limited. The program pairs fitness conditioning with traditional karate instruction, and the academy’s 4-for-4 record of 5.0 Google ratings reflects how much local families value having it nearby. For parents in Roma and Escobares looking at after-school activities with real structure, this is the neighborhood answer. Call 956-208-7615 about registration.
