Universal Judo

Head coach Jim Hrbek runs Universal Judo with a four-word promise front and center on everything the school publishes: champions are built here. The far-north San Antonio dojo on Goll St trains five nights a week in two formats—longer Monday, Wednesday, and Friday sessions, shorter Tuesday and Thursday practices—so judoka can fit the tatami around any work schedule. Classical judo is the fare: throws, grip fighting, newaza grappling, and the conditioning that comes free with both. The club carries a 5.0 rating across 17 Google reviews and accepts cards for dues.
