Blackhawk Martial Arts University

Neighbors on Nextdoor vouch for Blackhawk Martial Arts University as a family-oriented fitness and martial arts hub in southeast Houston’s Sagemont area — an unusual community reputation in a city where most schools compete on fight-team credentials instead. The Hughes Road academy opens at 11 AM and trains through 9 PM on weekdays, a shift-friendly schedule for parents, remote workers, and night-shift employees, plus Saturday mornings until 1:30. Directory listings frame it as a sports club spanning multiple martial arts and fitness programming rather than a single-discipline dojo, and Sagemont park landmarks sit within a short walk of the entrance.
