Vasquez Taekwondo Academy

Korean sword work sits alongside the kicks at Vasquez Taekwondo Academy, a McKinney school operating since 1995 that pairs traditional taekwondo with Haidong Gumdo, the Korean art of the sword, plus weapons training woven through the curriculum. Programs cover the full age spectrum, from preschoolers taking their literal first kick to adults and black belts from other schools, with the academy promising everything for every child. Weekday classes run 3:30 to 8:30 PM, a window deliberately built around the school day, and Saturday training caps the week. The Alma Road dojo holds a 4.7 rating across 67 Google reviews. Reach it at (972) 548-8275 or vasquez-taekwondo.com.
