Barbara Bauer Briggs Family YMCA

One membership card covers far more than martial arts at Barbara Bauer Briggs Family YMCA, Victoria’s flagship branch of the YMCA of the Golden Crescent, which has served the Crossroads region since 1902. Karate classes here fold into a full community campus with pool, fitness center, and a new early-learning preschool, so one household can train, swim, and drop off the little ones in a single visit. Doors open at 5 AM on weekdays and stay open until 9:15 PM Monday through Thursday, with weekend hours built around family schedules. Members give the facility a 4.0 rating across 55 Google reviews, reflecting a busy, family-first environment rather than a boutique fight gym. Victoria families can tour the Nimitz Street campus or join at ymcagoldencrescent.org.
