Kogyo Aikido

Listed in the international Aikido Shimbokukai directory as Kogyo Aikido — also known as Aikido of Montgomery — this dojo brings a genuinely inclusive ethos to Montgomery County. It identifies as women-owned and LGBTQ-friendly, rare positioning for a Texas martial-arts school, and holds a flawless 5.0 rating from five Google reviews. Training runs Tuesday and Thursday evenings plus Sunday mornings inside a McCaleb Road unit, a rhythm that suits students balancing jobs and family. Jay Ludwig serves as the federation-listed contact, and the Shimbokukai affiliation means the curriculum follows recognized aikido standards rather than an invented system. Visiting your first class is low-pressure; call or text 346-806-5672 to confirm mat time before driving out.
