Houston Aikikai

Direct lineage to aikido founder Morihei Ueshiba runs through Houston Aikikai, a traditional dojo off Milwee St in west Houston started by students of T.K. Lee Sensei and connected to Yamada Sensei of New York Aikikai. The school keeps a deliberately old-school rhythm: mixed adult classes Wednesday and Thursday evenings — Thursday adds a kids’ class — and Sunday morning sessions split between beginner and general training, with the dojo asking visitors to call or email ahead since hours shift with instructor schedules.
