The Blazing Dragon Dojo

Afterschool pickup from Wylie ISD schools sets The Blazing Dragon Dojo apart from typical karate studios: enrolled students get daily martial arts training, homework time and character-building activities in one structured program. The dojo, which opened its brick-and-mortar home at 501 W Brown St in Wylie, builds its kids’ curriculum around inner strength first, with monthly fitness tests, leadership development and self-defense framed for real-life situations. A family-that-trains-together motto reflects the founder’s own household, where six children all took classes, and free women’s self-defense workshops have been offered to the wider community.
