Gracie Barra Bastrop

Bastrop’s link to the world’s largest jiu-jitsu organization runs through Gracie Barra Bastrop, where the celebrated GB curriculum shapes every class on the mat. Students progress through structured Fundamentals, Kids and Teens, and Adults programs built on the teaching methods of Carlos Gracie Jr., and a free first class welcomes anyone curious enough to give it a try. The school holds a flawless 5.0 rating across 84 Google reviews, with members citing the structured progression as a strength. Its schedule is unusually generous for a small city: doors open at 6AM on weekdays, Saturday mornings run until noon, and classes span early morning, midday, and evening blocks.
