Six decades and counting, with a founding year of 1963 on its own site, make Armentor’s United Martial Arts a genuine Southeast Texas institution. Sempai Les Armentor trained in traditional karate, jujitsu, and taekwondo in Japan, Okinawa, Guam, and South Korea while serving in the United States Marine Corps, then brought that grounding home to Groves, where the family-named school still teaches excellence in the martial arts.
