Most martial arts schools don’t own a 24-foot octagon, but Songahm Martial Arts, the ATA-powered academy on South Broadway in Tyler, doubles as a TDLR-licensed amateur MMA promotion company complete with a weight room for fighters’ strength and conditioning. Day to day it teaches the Songahm taekwondo system to men, women, children, and families, with ATA-certified instructors who log a minimum of 300 instructional training hours before leading classes. One-on-one and group training are available in person or remotely, and the school runs summer camp programming for its wider East Texas ATA family, including Tiny Tigers. The studio holds a 4.2 rating across 33 Google reviews. Call 903-830-8852 to ask about classes.
