Bueno Brazilian Jiu Jitsu

Lineage runs deep here: Professor Douglas Bueno is a Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt under Gustavo ‘Guto’ Campos and represents the Atos organization, one of the sport’s most decorated competition teams. That pedigree lands in West Lubbock inside a spacious, well-maintained facility — açaí bar included — where adults and kids train at all levels. Tuesday and Thursday bring 6 AM sessions for early risers, weekday classes run to 8 PM, and Saturdays wrap the week through early afternoon. The academy’s motto, ‘Be Bold. Be Bueno,’ fits its flawless 5.0 rating across 116 Google reviews. Find the gym on 4th Street; phone 806-730-9572 or visit buenobjj.com.
