Combate Academy

A Soul Fighters affiliation anchors the jiu-jitsu at Combate Academy, a Cross Roads school founded in October 2023 by head coach Matthew Falavinha and owner Daniel Motta to bring high-level training to their corner of North Texas. Despite its young age the academy already counts 110-plus active members and a perfect 5.0 rating across 52 Google reviews. Classes cover Brazilian jiu-jitsu for kids, adults, and families, in both gi and no-gi formats, with adult sessions open to ages 14 and up. A free trial week lets newcomers test the mats before committing. Doors open at 6AM on weekdays and stay open into the evening, with Saturday morning training as well. Stop by 8800 US-380, Suite 800 in Cross Roads or call 940-548-5487 to claim that first free week.
