Defense Tactics Institute

Filipino blade arts meet disciplined study at Defense Tactics Institute, where Tuhon Galvin leads authentic Pekiti-Tirsia Kali instruction rooted in the Tortal family lineage from Negros Occidental. The Pearland school treats combat as a study rather than a spectacle, pairing traditional Filipino methods with practical adaptation for modern self-defense. Students progress through a structured ranking system across weekday morning and evening blocks, with Saturday afternoon sessions rounding out the week. The academy welcomes newcomers curious about weapons-based arts as well as experienced practitioners seeking lineage-grounded training. Prospective students can explore programs and schedules at dtiptk.com or call 281-819-0329 to arrange a first visit.
