Denton Academy of Martial Arts

Seven distinct martial arts fuse into one curriculum at Denton Academy of Martial Arts, where founder Richard Shoffit — fifty years into his own training journey — teaches empty-hand techniques, weaponry, swordsmanship, and Goshin Budo Jujitsu ground fighting under a single system. Newcomers start with a free two-week introductory course and receive a free uniform upon enrolling, old-school hospitality that matches the academy’s reputation for discipline and hard work. Families give it a perfect 5.0 Google rating, with long-term students describing exactly the kind of no-shortcuts training parents seek. Classes meet Monday through Thursday afternoons and evenings at the Hercules Lane dojo. Call 940-387-7442 or see dentonmartialarts.com to reserve your intro spot.
