Ellis County Martial Arts

Kyoshi Richard Ray founded Ellis County Martial Arts and still serves as its chief instructor, leading a Waxahachie school built on a traditional-values, modern-concepts philosophy with separate classes for kids and adults. The curriculum spans karate, kempo, and practical self-defense fundamentals, and the school promotes itself as Ellis County’s premier martial arts and defensive-tactics training facility. One frequently cited differentiator: it never charges hidden testing fees, keeping belt-advancement costs predictable for families. Rated a perfect 5.0 stars across 74 Google reviews, the Ferris Avenue dojo has earned deep local trust. Beginners are always welcome – connect at elliscountymartialarts.com or call 214-315-4727.
