Freedom Jiu Jitsu

Freedom Jiu Jitsu bills itself as Kaufman’s first jiu-jitsu academy, a veteran-owned room on Deer Run in Kemp that put serious grappling within reach of small-town Kaufman County. Training runs Monday through Thursday evenings plus a Saturday session from 10 AM to 1 PM, and the academy’s Facebook following has passed a thousand people tracking its competition results, including medals brought home from NAGA events. The mat holds a flawless 5.0 rating across ten Google reviews, with students crediting an ego-free, welcoming culture. For a small town far from Dallas’s big academies, it delivers the kind of fundamentals-first instruction usually reserved for the metroplex. Reach the coaches at 469-966-4900 or through freedomjj.com.
