Koulikov Grappling Academy

Sambo meets Brazilian jiu-jitsu in Edinburg, where Koulikov Grappling Academy teaches both under coach Vladislav Koulikov, a respected martial artist with black belts across disciplines and the founder of the Sambo Fusion instructional brand. That dual grappling lineage is uncommon in the Rio Grande Valley – students here absorb two traditions instead of one – with judo and self-defense fundamentals rounding out the curriculum. The academy’s reputation is outsized: a perfect 5.0-star average across 191 Google reviews, among the strongest in the region. Hours run 9AM to 8:30PM every weekday plus a Saturday morning class, with free parking at the West Trenton Road suites. Connect at sambofusion.com or 845-421-8809.
