Lacy's Shotokan Karate

Few Texarkana institutions can point to 1973 as their founding year, but Lacy’s Shotokan Karate can — area directories call it the oldest martial arts school in the Four States area, started by Dr. Lacy. The dojo keeps traditional Japanese karate alive through focused evening classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays, pairing practical self-defense with character development for kids and adults alike. Thirteen Google reviews deliver a unanimous 5.0, praising caring, invested instructors who know every student by name. For classical karate rather than fitness trends, this Robison Road suite is the stop; reach the school at 903-556-2136 or through its Facebook page.
