Lone Star Academy

Dawn sessions starting at 5 or 6 AM are the tell at Lone Star Academy: this Amarillo Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu school under Professor Spencer Smith is built for people with real schedules. Evening blocks run as late as 9:30 PM and Saturday mat time rounds out the week, with classes for kids and adults at every fitness and skill level, from pure self-defense to competition grappling. The first week of training is free, so the barrier to trying a class is essentially zero. A perfect 5.0-star average across 23 Google reviews points to tight-knit, personal instruction rather than a volume operation. The dojo sits on Paramount Boulevard in Amarillo; call 806-412-4842 or browse lonestarbjj.com to claim that free week.
