In its fifth decade of operation, Martial Arts America has taught Galveston kids and families since 1975 — a run of longevity almost unmatched by any Texas island school. Founder Master Ismael Robles was a two-time United States karate champion, a two-time WKA/PKA national champion, and a former KICK welterweight titleholder, and the school teaches the Jhoon Rhee lineage of taekwondo he built his career on.
