Tactical Arts Academy

Knife attacks and multiple-assailant scenarios are standard lesson material at Tactical Arts Academy, an Austin school focused on defensive tactics rather than sport martial arts. The curriculum covers defense against edged and impact weapons, striking, takedowns, locks and controls, plus firearms and lethal-force decision-making – subject matter most studios avoid entirely. Training happens in semi-private classes and one-on-one private sessions rather than crowded group drills, and the academy now operates through multiple host locations around Austin, concentrating on seminars and small-group instruction. Its 4.9 rating across 12 Google reviews comes from students who take self-protection seriously. If that describes you, start at tacticalarts.com, call 512-623-7337, or inquire about training options near 7000 Ardath St, Austin.
