Team Shark, Daniel Pinheiro Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

Every class at Team Shark is taught personally by Daniel Pinheiro, a 4th-degree black belt who has trained jiu-jitsu since 1990, holds IBJJF referee certification, and went 4-1 as a professional MMA fighter. That level of head-instructor consistency is rare anywhere in Texas, and it shapes the Balcones Heights academy’s structured classes, its strong kids program, and a private-lesson option for students who want focused attention. Visitors describe a clean, professional room geared toward long-term growth rather than quick turnover, and the school’s public reviews average around 4.6 stars. Team Shark operates from Hillcrest Drive in Balcones Heights, conveniently close to central San Antonio. Reach the academy at teamsharkbjj.com or 210-913-8763.
