The Rust Den

Armor clashing in Corpus Christi: The Rust Den serves as home ground for the Rust Knights, the Coastal Bend’s armored combat team, which competes in Armored Combat Sports, a full-contact form of medieval-style fighting in steel kit. Training nights run Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 6:30 to 9 PM with a Saturday evening session from 5:30, and the team has held monthly public practices at Cole Park. Early Google feedback stands at a perfect 5.0 from a pair of reviews. It is a genuinely uncommon corner of combat sports for Texas. Call 361-727-7755 or check the gym’s Facebook page for the suite at 4531 Ayers St in Corpus Christi.
