Waco Kendo Dojo
Japanese fencing — kendo — is the whole curriculum at Waco Kendo Dojo, where students learn the bamboo-sword art through practice that builds physical fitness, mental discipline, and cultural learning. Beginners need only comfortable clothes to start; armor and advanced technique come later, once fundamentals are solid. Sessions are deliberately split by level: Tuesday evenings begin with beginners from 7:00 to 7:40, followed by armored basics and advanced practice, while Saturday mornings mirror that structure. The club also hosts youth tournament events, evidence of an active competition calendar. Rated 5.0 across 7 Google reviews, the dojo serves the greater Waco area from 1020 Elm Ave. Visit wacokendo.com or call 347-945-9000.
