Young Forest Karate

Sensei Jason LeClair built Young Forest Karate the grassroots way: after moving from California in 2019, he rented the community center in nearby Hawkins two nights a week, and demand eventually carried the school to its own space on Big Sandy’s Broadway. The curriculum is traditional Okinawan karate with a self-defense emphasis, and newcomers are welcomed with two free introductory lessons before any commitment. Classes run Tuesday through Thursday evenings, a schedule built around East Texas school nights. Early students have posted a flawless 5.0 Google rating.
