806 Takedown Wrestling Club

Folkstyle, freestyle, and Greco-Roman all get mat time at 806 Takedown Wrestling Club, a locally owned Lubbock program run by Vic and Lesley Samora. The club’s stated mission runs deeper than takedowns: teaching kids to overcome obstacles, handle emotions, respect authority, and become good teammates through wrestling’s demands. Sessions fill weekday evenings at the Avenue Q facility, and wrestlers of all ages and experience levels are welcome on the roster. The club carries a perfect 5.0-star rating across 7 Google reviews from Lubbock wrestling families. Parents and athletes can follow schedules and announcements on the club’s Facebook page, facebook.com/806Takedown, or call 806-778-9037 to learn about joining.
