international Hapkiyoosool Federation

‘Banned from competition’ reads the wry banner on the International Hapkiyoosool Federation’s Plano site—a marketing wink at a traditional Korean art whose techniques exceed what sport rules allow. The veteran-owned school on Preston Rd serves as home base for the international federation and pitches ‘traditional martial art for a modern world,’ training students to carry their skills beyond the dojang into everyday life. Expect hapkido-style joint locks, throws, and practical defense rather than tournament point-fighting. Class times target working adults: Monday and Friday evenings plus a late Wednesday session. Observe a class or ask about enrollment at (469) 888-3748 or hapkiyoosool.com.
