Habilidoso Jiu-Jitsu

Habilidoso — Spanish for ‘skillful’ — is a fitting banner for a jiu-jitsu school in East Texas, where Palestine’s small-town mat scene punches above its weight. The academy trains four evenings a week, teaching Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu to ages three and up with a stated focus on bully-proofing and practical self-defense for kids. Club listings connect the school to the Caique jiu-jitsu association, with Ricky Santos named as the person in charge, and its Google rating stands at a flawless 5.0 across 8 reviews. Family discounts, free parking and card payments round out the offering at 105 Crockett Rd. It is the kind of gym where an East Texas town’s families train together across generations; call 903-391-4059 about starting your child or yourself.
