Karate is only the beginning at Richmond Sport Center, a Richmond Dojo LLC operation that stacks Shotokan karate, judo, jiu-jitsu, taekwondo, boxing, basketball, volleyball, badminton, and indoor and outdoor soccer under one very busy roof. The Shotokan program follows the karate-do transmitted from Master Gichin Funakoshi’s teachings, and the center’s ken zen ichi nyo spirit – fist and zen as one – shapes a culture of discipline, self-control, and respect. Outdoor soccer registration opens for players as young as six, and the multi-sport schedule serves families across the Katy and Richmond area.
