Rick Guerras Academy of Martial arts North

Five decades of Laredo martial arts history flow through Rick Guerra’s Academy of Martial Arts, a family-owned operation teaching since 1973. The North Laredo dojo on Shiloh Drive — sibling to the original South Laredo school — covers karate and MMA for kids, teens, and adults, pairing physical skill with character development: discipline, positivity, courage, and confidence. Evening classes run Monday through Thursday from 5:30 to 9 PM. Rather than chasing trophies alone, the academy treats training as a path of personal growth for every family member, a stance that has kept generations of Laredo families on its mats.
