Ronin Mixed Martial Arts

Thirty-seven Google reviews, every one of them five stars; that is the reputation Ronin Mixed Martial Arts has built at its Rampart Street academy in southwest Houston. The independent school teaches kickboxing, Muay Thai, and Brazilian jiu-jitsu in a room that reviewers say works equally well for serious fighters and absolute beginners. Doors stay open 9 AM to 9 PM on weekdays, with a shortened Saturday schedule and classes through the evening, so most work schedules can find a slot. Students highlight knowledgeable, experienced instructors and a family-oriented, professional atmosphere on the mats. Gulfton-area residents hunting a no-ego place to start training can reach Ronin at 281-542-8192.
