Shaolin Wu-Yi Institute

Five-animal Shaolin kung fu and Northern Long Fist form the backbone of the curriculum at Shaolin Wu-Yi Institute, a women-owned Plano school teaching traditional Chinese martial arts since 2006. Students choose from more than 25 classes per week across kung fu and tai chi, including dedicated kids, adult, and family sessions — one of the most complete traditional schedules in the Dallas suburbs. Doors open at 7AM and stay open until 10PM on weekdays, accommodating early birds and night owls alike. The institute’s perfect 5.0 rating across 100 Google reviews suggests the old-school curriculum comes with warmth to match.
