Shukokai Karate Academy

Iai-do, the art of samurai sword drawing, shares the curriculum with traditional Shito-ryu karate at Shukokai Karate Academy, a rare combination for Collin County. Operating in the Frisco and Plano area since 2005, the dojo teaches traditional Japanese karate, Nippon Jujitsu, and Iai-do to students from age four up, with beginners trained separately from intermediate and advanced ranks. Classes run Friday evenings and Saturday afternoons, a part-time schedule that suits busy families. Sensei Ravi founded the academy, and its perfect 5.0 Google rating, from four reviews so far, reflects a small and devoted following. Prospective students can confirm the next beginner intake at friscodojo.com or by phone before visiting the Frisco location.
